Russian Railways to invest 2 tln rbl in infrastructure till 2024
MOSCOW, Jan 17 (PRIME) -- Russian Railways will invest 1.7 trillion rubles in infrastructure until 2024, First Deputy CEO Vadim Mikhailov said on Thursday during the Gaidar Forum.
“The combined amount of investment stands at 2.4 trillion rubles, of which Russian Railways is to contribute 1.7 trillion rubles,” he said.
The list of infrastructure projects includes quadrupling container transit until 2024, upgrades of the Baikal-Amur Mainline and the Trans-Siberian Railway to the Pacific ports that start receiving 180 million tonnes of cargoes in 2024 and 210 million tonnes in 2025 with coal accounting for the bulk of the amount, he said.
